Do you just plug the unused port on the J boot?
It would be cool to have on the would recirculate or vent at the flip of a switch. Then you could have it silent unless you are being taunted by the local ricers?

“I think he means it runs rich where ever it vents? I got rich when shifting..,”

Not really.
In truth, I am on “factual thin ice” on this subject and hope that Danno chimes in with his extensive detailed knowledge and experience.

Nevertheless I think the rich you see during gear change is due to the electronic acceleration pump, which enriches the mixture during increasing throttle position. If you have an Air/Fuel meter, you’ll see the mixture go lean when you lift the throttle (BOV opens) and rich when stabbing it again (no matter where the BOV is vented).
Again it is my belief/observation that the only time, the AFR go rich when the BOV is open (with free venting BOV), is when you partially and relatively quickly lift the accelerator and don’t close the throttle fully. Not a frequent occurrence.
