Jeremy, isnt your wife is pregnant, a little too late for that analogy :>)
The Guru chips kit is great from what everyone says, so much so I had him make me a set of totally custom chips for what I wanted.
The upgrade to get with that would be a nice WG TiAl 38mm from SFT is 299.00 shipped and once I removed it I can assure you I would not be shimming a stock one.

I have ridden several times in the backseats of 944s. If you get a short front seat passenger and they keep their seat forward a bit and you are a person of my size (5'10" and about 150 pounds), it's not too bad. I wouldn't want to be back there for a long trip though.....
However I've ridden in the back of some of Chevrolets when I was getting into the USAF and riding with recruiters that were 2 door cars with a backseat and they were just as bad or worse to me.....

Look at many cars......get PPI done....add $$50% to what PPI indicates for baseline cost. Recent 951 purchase from long distance, out of town PPI. PPI indicated "noise" front of engine, prolly t belts etc., blah blah. Oil leaks pointed out were accurate. "Noise" pointed out was cured by t belts, front reseal, water pump lets do everything on the front while we're there.... compression test, leak down...oops!.. the radiator leaks (missed in PPI)......after $2K we have a solid car and are ready to start the mods. Make sure you are starting with a solid base, then budget mods from there.
