Hey Sam, what problems did you have with that bracket? I've had to put one on my old 951, a friends 951 and now my '87 951, and never thought twice about it... in fact, I would rate it as being easier than getting the top timing belt cover off of a stock AFM equipped 951, which is an admittedly easy task... Just curious what problems you ran into.

The only time I fought with it was once when I couldn't get the bottom bolt on the dump tube to line up with the lower bracket hole, and I just reloosened everything and it all lined up.

Regards,

For me the big issue is with the top bolt when it's frozen from never having been removed - very difficult to get a chain of tools together and held in place that allows any leverage on it.

I had a bitch of a time with the top bolt too, it easily doubled the time to remove it.

You can actually install the clamp with the wastegate in place. But it's hard to tighten up the clamp bolts with the wastegate in the way. Also to get to the top bolts on the hanger to clamp, you just use about 18" of extensions and approach from the back with a 13mm socket with built-in universal wobble.

Default Oldie but goody

Hey Guys
I have two WG dump tubes
The one on the left is my stock 88TS dump tube ( with a bracket on the flange )
The one on the right is an 86 pipe from a Escort car
Does anyone know where that flange on my stock WG dump pipe bolts on to ?
I know the WG bolts up to the bracket on the torque tube but I am unclear where the Flange bracket on my stock dump tube, bolts to?
Thanks in advance
Ed
