Has anyone ever heard of a company out of California that Customized 944 Coupes to Convertibles ?? I think the company may of been Presitge Porsche or Prestine ??? Not sure on the name..
I am looking at a 1987 944 Turbo that was made into a convertible. Looks like they used the sunroof for the rear trunk decklid and did not use the small vent windows that the factory 944 or 968 convertibles used? Kind of worried about the the strength of the winshield, though I am sure they had to beef up the pillars that supported the windshield???
Anyway some opinions would help ?? Thanks Davepnola I am listing a picture of the car ........

Start with a 944 S2 Convert. or 968 Convert and turbo charge it. It's easier and probably cheaper to just put in the turbo bits..
I would not trust a non factory conversation...
my 2 cents,
Steve

I agree with Steve here... I wouldn't doubt that it would brake windshields left and right under hard acceleration or braking. Though I admit it is very good looking in that photo. I'd love to see more!

Wow, Somebody has got some fabrication skills. Judging by the very clean looking conversion, it would be hard to believe that he didnt beef up the A pillars.
And just think, with that flat rear decklid, you can add a huge Aluminum wing!![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
My $.02

personally I would have to say I am with steve on this one also. I wouldn't trust a non factory job. Just by a s2 take the time to go through the motor and slap on a turbo and presto......you got a 16v turbo vert. What could be better
