Pulled my pump It's blue and encased in a black rubber cover. I assume you cannot remove/reuse cover on new pump? Is it necessary to try and duplicate factory cover with a rubber/silicone sleeve before clamping it back to the cover? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Some silicon spray and I slipped the old rubber cover off my old pump and on a new one. Just need some force to stretch and move it.
