Mark, thanks for coming in on the thread (and not getting defensive while we're talking about your product) and what you've provided so far is pretty interesting. It seems to me if I had a car that's really suffering for breathing, the e-ram could help. Case in point is my '01 Range Rover 4.6 -- the thing is a wheezer. Have you seen a Range Rover done?

Would you consider a Rennlist special buy price? (maybe I'll put one in there just to see if it shows up on some G-Tech Pro passes ...)

Cheers,

Cheers,

agreed, at least you didnt get pissed off at us. i in no way meant to flame, just point out that in theory it would work, not to the extent at which it is claimed, and to point out that the device is a fan, not a compressor, which is the real problem.

I'm gonna be dyno-tuning on March-20th. If anyone wants to buy one and come out, I'll provide the dyno-time free of charge. I should have my video-camera back from the repair shop by then to document this test. Having strict controls of variables is necessary to create a good comparison. Even with the identical car with back to back runs, I've seen variations of about 1-2% just based upon how warm or cool it is. So procedure would be:

1. 10-minute cool-down with dyno fan blowing on full
2. 3 back to back runs with 30-seconds rest
3. swap in eRam
4. 10-minute cool-down
5. 3 back to back runs with 30-seconds rest.
6. swap out eRam
7. 10-minute cool-down
8. 3 back to back runs with 30-seconds rest

The 3rd set of runs is to confirm the 1st runs to verify that environment or other conditions have not changed. If the 1st set matches the 3rd set, we can be confident that the 2nd runs are valid.

Hey it might work on a civic? I just think it would cause more restriction in a car like ours.

And yes I was refering to the bilge vent rather than pump. I thought it was fairly obvious I was not refering to moving water but air.

Even if you did pick up 4 or 5 HP, how long can this electric motor last? a year perhaps? For most cars that really need extra hp, there are other upgrades that provide much better performance for less or the same price. You can get an exhust or y-pipe for most imports for less than 300$. Its solid no need to worry about running wires to your battery and in most cases you will pick up 10 or more hp.
For our cars a simple chip upgrade is cheaper and will give up to 50hp. If you want more power spend a few hundred more bucks and get a NOS setup with a small spray. I assure you that you will get a good bit of boost out of that. Heck just spraying the intercooler will result in higher hp gains than an electric fan.

Try this. Just type in Eram in your favorite search engine. You will see more sites with info stating. 'Don't waste your time or hoax" than you will people with possitive feedback.

A chip upgrade will not give you 50hp.

nope, it still is a fan, not a compressor. and, it would also add enough heat to the air to make it not worthwhile

Why stop at 60hp? It will give you 100hp!

I would shake the hand of the man that could get 50HP (wheel) from adding a chip only.

Unless the car did not have a chip to start with... lol

Excellent work! A chip that gives you 100HP, sweet. I will sell my Link and go back to the stock setup with a chip and get more HP! Anyone want a used Link computer?
