Default connector on dme harness?

While changing chips this morning I noticed an unplugged connector on the DME harness about 6 inches up from the main connector to the DME. It is a 2 pin connector with brown wiring. Anyone know what this is?

TIA

Sounds like the altitude sensor.

If you need one, I have an extra. Just drop me a PM.

Take a look at this link - it has some pictures of what you're talking about and a whole discussion on what that plug is...

Region Coding Plug

It's labeled GURU chip install, but read through it - you'll find it.

On an '85-87 24-pin DME, the region-coding plug won't have any effect. The USA map will be selected with it on or off.
