Would you not use Berryman's? It works to remove carbon from plugs and carbs. Is it to harsh, and drying.

You probably would but these pistons were al kinds of gunked up so I thought it would be best to let it sit (bad idea). It turned out okay, I used oil as a lube, lowered the piston (raising the two that had it in the bore) and ever so slowly moved them while cleaning every 1/2 or so. It would not be my choice again!
