We are now official as well on testpipes! Tim said we had 5 and I know of at least one other person who wants to order!

BTW, if you have a 924S, the 944 NA 2.5" catback WILL work for your car!

FYI, if you haven't ordered yet, the GROUP BUY END DATE will be 3/19/2004. That gives you 8 more days to order. If for some reason you need to order a few days after that, contact me or Tim so we can put you on the list to order and so that you can get in on the buy.

Hey Gang,

I've been lurking here for a while - This is my first post - But I
wanted to let you all know.

I ordered both a Testpipe and Catback from Tim this afternoon, and asked
him to add me to the growing list...

Deetz...

If we get more than 20 people to get in on the cat backs will the price drop even more? Just wondering. I'll be placing my order on early next week. Will he ship them right away or do we have to wait until everyone has ordered until he ships them?

When I ordered, Tim told me it'd be about 3 weeks before shipment, just to be safe. He said they would try to get them out sooner though.

Great!!!! Glad to see you aboard! Your names will be added to the ordered list! I'll add you to the ordering next week list Tb311!

Well, let's see if we make it to 20+ Since I know we had about 16 as of yesterday, we'll have to find out when I talk to him again if there will be any further discounts....We're within $10 of the last group buy now which was over 20 people. He offered a better discount for us to start with this time than was offered last time by $40. Don't know how much more he would discount it. I'll check with him and see though....I wouldn't expect a great deal more though....he put an awesome deal on the table to start with.

From what I understand they will be shipped as completed in the order that the orders were taken. He told me when I first talked to him about the group buy that they were completing a bunch of other work and that it would be a couple of weeks before they could get them started going out. Probably a group buy for another group or something and I posted that earlier....just so it wouldn't be a surprise for people. It'll give you something to look forward to....

Hey Todd,

Right now the unpolished catback (seems like what most are going for) would cost you $449 ($499 with polish on the pipe, tip and muffler polished on both regardless) and $449 for the testpipe as well (Fabspeed one that they sell, not the $649 one....but it is $100 off if you want it).

So that would cost you $900, including shipping. Normally you'd be looking at $550 (unpolished catback) with $20 for the gasket and about $30 shipping plus the testpipe at $499 + $20 for the gasket + similar shipping or a total of around $1150. That's a $250 savings for the group buy on the entire setup. That is enough to pick up a resonator if you feel like the testpipe and catback together are a bit too loud for your tastes or almost enough to pay for the high flow cat if you need to get emissions tested.

Oh, if your car doesn't have the later 2 bolt flange for the wastegate dump pipe, Tim can add one to your order for $20. You don't have to update to it, you can use the regular compression band like on the early cars for it, the choice is yours.

Prolly more info than you wanted, but thoroughness is good
