Well, I cut the line going to the KLRin hopes of plumbing in the brass tee. First I tried 1/4 in brass tee with a compression fitting, that was to big, now I tried 3/16 and it's to small. What tee or how do you plumb the boost gauge to the plastic f@#% hose? TIA, Reno

I used a white plastic 3/16 tee, then used rubber vacuum hose pieces to "splice" the the tee and the KLR plastic lines together. Then, I used mini-zip ties to clamp the rubber vacuum lines down.

Took me four auto part stores, but a nearby napa had a 7/64" rubber t. Give them a call. You should be able to cram in the old line, even though it is thicker. Good luck!

yeah you should get the 7/64" rubber tee found at napa or pep boys. Napa part number: CRB2663
Or if you cannot find it and want to wait, I can send you one for free on the weekend. Just PM me if so

well the 1/8" line from the gauge should fit into a 7/64" tee shouldn't it? seeing as 1/8= 8/64 > 7/64, but not by much. should fit really nicely. i don't know what tee i had, but it was a little bigger than the line from my autometer. so i rtv siliconed it a bit and zip-tied it. seems fine.

the 1/8" line from the gauge will fit into the T and believe it or not, the KLR line will fit too, it takes a while to slip it in but once you do its a veryvery tight fit and won't come loose

Reno,
I also bought a VDO gauge for my car. They sell a tubing kit separately. However, I just went down to Home Depot and bought a brass adapter that went from an 1/8" female to a barb fitting. Then I used rubber vacuum tubing from the barb fitting to T fitting I spliced into the KLR line. If you are careful, you can cut the KLR line, heat up up the ends slightly and then slip in the T fitting. The KLR line is pretty hard, so it doesn't always cooperate when you're trying to work with it.
Best Regards
Greg W.

I can also confirm that the 7/64 rubber tee is the way to go. NAPA claims not to carry it any longer, but I found one at Pep Boys. I actually bought a spare, too. Let me know if you need it.

Well, this is how it goes, I had a rubber T left over from a 928 S motor, I cut the KLR line and it fit right into that rubber T. I used a vacuum line that went into that rubber T, from that vacuum line I connected a 1/8 rubber coupling, from there I had 1/8 copper tubing which ran towards the meter but did not fit into the brass fitting. So, then I connected it to the meter using a few adapters. I felt like Apollo 13, one problem after another. Anyway it WORKS. I appreciate all the help and if something where to fail I'll probably take you up on some of your generous offers. Reno
