Default Cordless Impact Driver

I got a Craftsman cordless impact driver for Christmas and I love it. Well I love the idea of it anyway. It keeps breaking. I've broken three now. I've been using it to take off and put on my wheels at the track. I torque them to 92 lbs.

Anyone tried the Crafstman? Any luck with any cordless impact drivers? If I can't use it to break the nuts loose then I may as well use a cordless drill.

Thanks.

I've heard real good about the Mac one, and even about the Northern Tools/Harbor Freight one!

Harbor Freight has a couple of battery impacts. Which one have you guys purchased. The one that goes for $129.00 (19V?) has had good reviews on a couple of the other lists. I believe there is a thread on the racing list.

Get a Snap-On cordless impact. It won't break.

Learned that lesson a while ago...

I have a Snap On impact. It kicks *** and will break bolts loose that are much tighter than lug nuts. It's expensive but worth it in my opinion.

My $130 Harbor Freight model breaks loose lug nuts just as well as the $300 or $400 Snap-On.

First determine your need, then buy accordingly....

Used my HF model all last year with no problems. The case is hard to clean and gets dirty looking, but that's my only complaint.

I'll have it and your welcome to it. Jerome on the other hand couldn't beg enough to use it! But it's probably too dirty for him to touch anyway's so..............

I'm just kidding with Jerome, he loves it.......
