Saw this code on an 87 turbo.Anyone know what this code stands for? This code is the first in the line of codes (usually where I have seen code C02). Thanks in advance.

 

Can’t find any info either. Where is the car originally from? It may be related to emissions/catalytic converter

 

Punched C68 into google and different options links. Mostly I found that C# usually correlated with a country. I found a bunch in C77, etc and they correlated with a specific country.

Car is originally Made in Germany and imported to the USA.

 

Iirc C-codes are not option codes rather they represent country specific items or “packages” that were made for specific markets. I think they are mostly emissions or safety related to comply with the importing country regulations. I’ve never seen a comprehensive list of those C-codes but I suppose Porsche would know.

 

Phone Porsche cars North America. They will have an answer.

I contacted them about one of my cars in 2008. They were able to give me a full detailed description of the car and sent a letter verifying all the info. Surprised me when I got such a detailed letter.
