Default Help with connections on electric seat switch

I had my seats reupholstered and the switch was not connected when I removed them so I could not photograph how to reconnect. Could someone tell me how the two sets of brown and red wires connect into the switch in the photos?

Just looking at mine the other day and I believe the two brown plugs go into ports 3 and 7. Reds go into 4 and 8. The important ones are the connections to the motors. You want to make sure you connect the correct motor to the correct switch. I think the only problem you could have there is have the front switch control the back and vice versa. Easy to change. Also, if you get the motor connections backwards then up will probably be down and vice versa. I'm taking a seat out this weekend so I can look then if you can wait.

Thanks for the reply, the black plug is not numbered, how does the numbering work?

Is it:

7 8
5 6
3 4
1 2
(wires on this end)

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here is the companion for your connection with the holes labeled. Your plug will be the mirror image.

You have 3 wires coming into the plug from car side. One wire is ground, one is constant power and the other is switched power. Once the wires enter the plug they are jumpeted to the other terminals. One side of the plug will be all grounds and the other side will be split into switched and constant power. The heat switch must be plugged into switched power. Other seat controls plugged into constant power. This way you can move seat with car off but the heater will only work with car on.
