Do you mean you can feel the floor moving up and down through the seat?

It may sound kind of harsh, but I was once told to hold the car at a stop with the brakes, put the car in second. Let out the clutch. If the car does not stall, the clutch is slipping. A keen eye/ear can sense the revs not matched to speed when accelerating.

start out going like 5mph and put it in, say 3rd gear and just floor it. if at anytime it starts revving and not going, then the clutch is slipping. I guess that one way of telling, don't know if its a great way though.

Penz,

5mph and 3rd gear and floor it? What is that, 500rpm?

Or did you mean do a rolling start and accelerate gently through the gears and when you get to 3rd put your foot down?

I assume the second one

well.. maybe go like 15mph then. haha
A friend told me that one time, put it in a higher gear and take off going slow because it will put more strain on the clutch.
Its the thought that counts.

Take a close look at the rubber pucks that holds the exhaust onto the handers. One may be missing! Mine was and it felt the same .... as if something was banging under the car. Turns out that 1 of the handers was a bit bent, so I turned it around and the puck staeds in place. Problem solved.
