Unhappy Sooty exhaust in open loop...

Ok here's the setup:

1988 Non-S Turbo
Danno 9.x chips & waste gate shims
3.0 bar FPR to go with the danno chips
New TPS

Car has a very sooty exhaust on startup until it warms up. If I accelerate when cold I can see black smoke & the rear panel & license plate are covered in soot.

Once it warms up (closed loop) it doesn't appear bad...

Vacuum connections appear OK (though does idle at about 1100 rpm)

Any idea what I should be checking? I'm obviously running way rich at start up!

TIA

No, a bad temp sensor will make the car run badly all of the time.
