Cross over pipe won't fit?
Putting back together the K27 and ceramic coated parts now, evrything has gone smooth except the reinstall of the cross over pipe, connect it to the turbo and it don't line up at the header, try it the other way, won't line up exctly with the turbo. Any ideas, or has anyone gone through this?

I was putting on my Garret hybred and had the same problem. Had to loosen the exhaust index bolts on the turbo and slide the turbin side, to allow the bolt holes to line up, then once all the bolts are started, then tighten everthing down. I even had to go as far as loosening up the header to head bolts.

I did try to loosen the turbo index bolts, had to make a custom 13mm wrench to get to the bottom one, I will look at it again tomorrow, i just got frustrated. The turbine housing did no want to rotate down any more due to the short downpipe the bolts to the block(unbolted).

I had the same problem even with the stock turbo.
Get the bolts started at the turbo first, then use a screwdriver & pry bar to get the bolt holes lined up at the headers. After ALL the bolts are started, then tighten them evenly.

Here's the procedure I use (provided turbo is indexed correctly):
0. install exhaust to downpipe and tighten fully.
1. install headers loosely, just 5-threads or so on each nut
2. install crossover, hold up with jack and install turbo-end first
3. install crossover on turbo loosely, install all four bolts & 3 nuts, but don't tighten
4. using screwdriver through header & crossover flanges, wiggle and install six bolts from the top down.
5. install 6 nuts loosely, about 5-threads each
6. fully tighten crossover pipe at turbo.
7. fully tighten header nuts
8. fully tighten bolts & nuts at header to crossover flange.
That's it really, the trick is to install everything loosely 1st to allow you to wiggle and align all the joints.

Got it! Sore hands and arms, but it is on, followed the Danno procedure, no problem. Thanks to the board for the help, I would still be swaering under the car otherwise!

And why loosen the header as I didn't have to touch them to remove the x-over pipe?
Also, what about the bolts at the (stock) wastegate? When do you have to tighten them?
