Question Current Oil cooler kits out there.

It looks like a bunch of folks on this list are either building out a 951 track car or a big motor. What are you using or doing to provide better engine cooling?

1. What are the vender options for oil cooler kits and what do you recommend?

2. Do you recommend buying a kit or building something?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
This is a can of worms that's opened quite a bit. Honestly, "Search" is your friend.

I just installed the KISS unit on my 951, and look forward to seeing the results this summer. My car will not be producing more than 300 rwhp for a long time, if ever, which is a major factor to consider.

If you're shooting for high hp, you'll need to start thinking of a custom setup. Opinions on this vary widely. The setup that I will pursue, if the need presents itself, is dual Mocals operating in parallel. I'm in the process of making changes to the P/S system that clears space in the right front bumper for this setup.

What size Setrab or Mocal unit would equate to the stock unit in terms of cooling capacity?
