Default losing oil

hi i resently just bought a 944 tubo and i have lotice i am losing just a little bit of oil. i was wondering how common this is in 944's and should i be concernd. and if it is a problem how hard is it to change out the engine w/ a newer one.

kinda-sorta-normal depending on the amt. often it's the turbo's fault.

how much?

oh - and re: changing engines, it's quite easy (if you have DEEP pockets) - you're best off just fixing the cause.

well about 1/2 a qt a mouth, so what coud be wrong w/ the turbo

how many miles per month? any smoke from exhaust?

no smoke and no stains anywhere or drops on the ground

Yeah, it happens to all of us. You'll notice the amount of oil you burn is closely related to how hard you drive the car. Just keep topping it off and you'll be fine.

btw,look in the owners manual,all 951s leak oil due to the turbo blow by(i think)so if you dont see oil all over the place you should be fine.

mine has the same issue, it doesn't smoke or leak(most of the time) and I consume it when I drive the **** out of it.
