Default failed emissions for CO

i was looking over the results from my alst emissions test in MA, and i only failed the CO gpm. i had a 33.55 when the limit was 30. any tips to improve this? my HC was 1.26 and my NOX was 1.40

I heard if you run the car really hard and get it up to temp you can lower the numbers but I don't know by how much. Since your engine is be hotter it will burn cleaner. Anyone else has any inputs?

There's an adjustment for CO on the AFM. It's basically a bypass adjustment (like idle-screw) that vents air around the flapper door. This makes your idle-mixture leaner or richer. In your case, you'd want to make it a little leaner since there's no enough O2 to give you full combustion to CO2.
