Default You with cone filters, need some help!

I'm looking for parts to build a new intake to the turbo and I'm wondering about the biggest cone filter one can fit in the "usual" location.

Anyone have measurements, or part numbers!?

(I can of course measure this next time I'm at the garage but it would nice to know in beforehand).

Thanks a lot!
Gustaf

Dont go cone, go round if you you have removed the bracket, have? And make a shroud. I am using currently a 5" diameter, 3" inlet and 5" Length one currently (approx) K&N. I am working on a cold design currently.

I'm told RU-3031 (I think) is the universal K & N cone filter that goes there.

I'll definatly go round!
I've been looking at a filter that's about 6,2" (160 mm) long and 5,1" wide (130 mm).

Another thing... I think it's important to use a filter that also is open at the front! especially since the cold air from the fender is coming right that way.

A filter like this:

If you have a MAF, be careful which filter you use...

Apexi do one.... what ones are you looking at??? I dont think K&N are the way to go. They are behind the design game.

Thanks, but I'm using a MAP sensor. I will however still make sure I get a high quality filter!

Fast, can you expand on that a bit? What makes for a good/bad MAF filter?

Air turbulance I would expect. Though I have no idea. Thats the issue with a MAF I would think.
