I think that would be the most 'correct' way of dealing with this situation.
Best regards,
Gary.

My guess is the military, it would be the last thing on his to do list if he got called up. I think that you have the right to sell it, but I would reimburse him if he contacts you like Gary said.

If he paid for it it's his. I think you'd have to hold onto it for a year at least. If it was an entire car, it'd be different, imo.
Give the guy a break. Maybe he's in Iraq right now.

if this guy comes back from Baghdad (maybe with a Purple Heart) you guys are gonna feel bad...why don't you think Mumzer should wait a little longer?...after all, didn't Karl already pay for it ? I say wait until...Memorial Day

>>>Just send it/drop it off to the SF fire dept addressed to him. Seems the easiest solution.<<<
You're kidding, right? You may be unaware of the fact, but San Francisco is... umm... rather a large city. So the block disappears into the bowels of San Francisco and 3 months later karl turns up asking for his block. Now mumzer has neither the block or the money(from a new purchaser) to give him. Great idea.
