Default Oil cooler sealant

Some sources say to use Curil T sealant on a new oil cooler housing gasket and seals.

As Curil T may be hard to find and/or take too long to get, what common substitute is durable and otherwise works well?

I never use any sealant. Installed 2 housings on different motors so far , no leaks. When you have a leak there it's usually from the groove in your housing out of tolerance due to erosion

I used this; it was easy to find locally here in Ontario. It was recommended--I forget where, sorry--as a Curil-T substitute. I remember it's popular in the air-cooled VW world. Seems to work great:

I bought the "M"

Both Curil-T and Hylomar are available on Amazon.
