So a stage 3 wheel spools faster than a stage 5?

A stage 3 wheel is smaller than a stage 5. The answer is yes.

Anyone want to know my sweet idea for a mounting place for my catch can? Its mounted off my racing dynamics strut brace and is suspended next to the strut, in that small cavity between the engine and the strut. An angled top will allow ease of access to empty the oil. Should be sweet! It will just need a bracket to fix the can to the existing connecting bolt on the brace.

My k26/6 saw full boost at 2,8k, and the majority of #8's i know see full boost at 3k to 3,1k.

You are saying that you had a stage V wheel in "what" a/r hotiside? and made full boost at 3,1krpm

Id love to this this chart?

2.5 8v? w/ 8:1 compression?

Luke

I'm not at my regular computer as I write this, but I have plenty of dyno charts to back up what I'm saying. I'll post some either later tonight or tomorrow morning.

So what a/r would this turbo equate to? Approx...

the a/r is a characteristic of the housing.

so the hot side and cold sides both have separate a/r's

the compressor housings of most 60-1's i've seen are a ".6"

i'm assuming you have a #8 hotside?

Yes, but ultimately it will make less power because of greater back pressure

Hi Luke,
You're using a #6 hot housing right ?
What turbine trim are you running ?
I've got a stage V in a #8 hot housing.
Have yet to install but am toying with
the idea of fitting a # 6 housing to reduce
lag. For now, I won't be running more
than 18 psi of boost. Hoping to get my 3L
engine ready by this year.

J chen,

dont, #6 is probably way too small for that wheel.

I have a III in a #6 and even tho I do not have any muffler or cat, the tq really starts to taper down up top. (on a 2.5 at least) It would be really easy for me to sneek in a #8 tho hehe

Where do you see full boost with your stage V ?
