The torsion bar carrier is amazingly heavy - are you sure the torsion bars aren't hidden inside, lol? I have the Karger geometry correcting torsion bar carrier replacement, and even though it's his latest, most heavy duty version, it only weighs 16-3/4 pounds. The springs and shocks also contribute a very small amount to the unsprung weight, since we divide their weight by 2 in the unsprung weight estimate because one end is attached to the chassis. A spring weighs about 2 pounds, and I would guess a shock is even less, so the combo only contributes a couple of pounds. The wheels/tires, rotors, and calipers are the largest contributors.

The torsion bar carrier is not unsprung weight.
Brake pads are though....,
I would think that you'd need to pin the aluminum rear arm at a pivot point and lay horizontal (like a connecting rod) but the result might be negligible.
To anybody going full race car, it's definitely possible to raise the stock torsion bar carrier 1/2, 3/4 or a full inch if you don't mind peening the rear floor to make clearance.
