Chevy Crate Motor = $3,500 for 350hp
Some "kit" to fit into a 944 = $1,000
Having a bastard Porsche that will get you shunned by the purists at every PCA/Rennlist meet = Priceless!

Some things money can buy. Pissing off Porsche owners with a 350/944 is one of them.

What sort of boost levels do you want to use to make that level of HP?

And will 3,500 really get you a chevy crate motor that puts 350 to the wheels?

Not hard at all. But to do it the "right way" costs more than a slam bang kaboom job

It doesn't matter on boost level i just want it to where i can set it and go without it blowing up. I wouldn't drive around at that boost daily only when i need it.

not a huge fan of the hole v8 thing. But, to each there own. I am a big fan of boost. I like turbo's. 350hp at the wheels with a turbo car at 2.5ltr's of displacement isint hard at all. Infact you could reach those number's on very concervitive boost numbers and pump gas. Who was it that put down 315rwhp on a stock k26#6 with only a bar of boost? If you want a easy route just by a complete "kit" and have them tune it. Tell them you want 350hp at the wheel's Lindsey has a 363 kit. Vitesse has some badass kit's. I went with lindsey but, decided to opt for a maf system instead of the barn door. I didn't upgrade the turbo at the time. You've seen some of my vids......do you think my car is fast.
totall investment to date( performace only) 4 grand.
Oh btw that included installation and tax...if you wanted to do it yourself knock off 6 or 7 hundred from that. Yeah you can buy a 350 and get 350hp at the wheel's but, what then? N/A motor's can make big power but, there is just something about FI that I perfer. Besides how effecient is a 350 putting out 350hp compared to a 4 banger putting out the same hp. Who is more effcient?? lol. I love v8's but, I will take a 4 banger and a hair dyer everytime.
just my preferrence.

This should be the statement of the week.

Now a V8 with 2 hair dryers will be nice too.

to reach 400hp will you need to run on race gas or can this be achieve on pump gas. I know there might be a few out there that are making there #'s just wondering what they had to do to reach their goal.
