Ok, I was kidding about the V-8 install. There is only one right way to drive a Porsche with a V-8. Buy a 928.

[Msg for Danno]- You mentioned a 350rwhp set up about a year or so ago, it was going to be a complete turbo/injector/FPR/ECU "kit". I didn't see that on your website, did that ever come to be? If so, what is it and what did the price end up being?

Skip 400 Rwhp,if you use the vaporware/twinturbo set up you will be making 500+Rwhp with ease

Ian - you cant come close to finishing that conversion for 3500. You would have a nice looking engine on a stand. If you did the work yourself you are looking at closer to 8K and if someone else does it the total should be in the 12K dollar range (I KNOW of two that have gone well over when you add in suspension, a proper solution to the brakes, etc).

It isnt that hard to get 350 - I think Tony will be over 400 at 15-16psi but he has some big dollars in his car. Aside from that I dont know that I have ever seen a 2.5L 400HP dyno chart. Then again, anything is possible if you have enough money.

944T 340 Rear Wheel Horse Power Kit

This 944 Turbo (951) Package includes:

Lindsey Sport Turbo
Lindsey Stage II or III Mass Air Flow Kit
Weltmeister Chips
55# Siemens Injectors
Lindsey Racing Dual Port Wastegate
Lindsey 3" Exhaust System (951-EXH-4)
Manual Boost Controller

The package makes 340 RWHP at 18psi of boost w/93 octane pump gasoline. Normally retail's for $4030.95 when purchased separately. We stock these kits and can usually ship within 24-48 hours.

The components in these packages have been designed to work in conjunction with each other and have been tested on the dyno, street and track. Completely streetable and daily driveable. You can also substitute items. For example, If you already have an exhaust system, or chips, we can make price adjustments.

Your choice of Stage II or Stage III MAF kit. With your MAF kit you get your choice of POWER PREFECT digital fuel controller or MAFTERBURNER digital fuel controller. Stage III MAF uses a 80mm meter and does require removing the head lights such as on race cars or street cars using alternate lights. A new Stage III kit is in development allowing you to retain the head lights.

$3599.00

This newer kit from Lindsey, along with the Vitesse STage II kit from Vitesse Racing...I don't think you can go wrong. I'll do a write up on the Mafterburner software next week when I get home and get my STage II MAF installed with the pigyback.

way to go bret!

lol. I think we are the biggest supporter's of Lindsey on here. I don't hear anyone else talk near as much about them as you or I do...lol.
BTW how is your car coming. I am thinking about getting a Lindsey stage 3 head done what do you think???
I would also need their stage 5 intake manifold to match

The car's running great but it's sort of detuned at the moment; got tired of mixing home brew in the garage so I changed chips, turned the fuel pressure down and the boost is at 15. I'll turn everything back up when I get the piggyback installed but you know I actually forgot how quick the car was at 15psi.

I'm a big fan of Lindsey. The reason I went with them early on was that they're only 4 hours away. Now that we rebuilt Jim's(jwl) car and installed the Vitesse Stage II, I'm a big fan of that system as well. I think both systems will get you 300-350 reliable RWHP and that a big key for me, reliability. Both systems offer fuel control, dual boost/octane/fuel maps at the flick of a switch for track applications if you so choose, and datalogging. The Mafterburner will even load it to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet if you have Excel on your laptop. Both systems are comprable in price and the customer support...we all know both vendors are excellent at that.

I have the stage II head and I'm pleased with it...how much hp are you going for? With the stage III head, are the valves larger? I like the intake manifold, nice piece of hardware.

I havent done a baseline dyno yet. I would like 400rwhp @ 18psi on pump gas with methanol injection. I also havent decided on turbo setup as of yet either. I am getting the headgasket done...and then will swap out the intercooler pipes...and prolly fit a evo or godzilla bov. After that comes the head and the intake along with wideband. Going to fit the new turbo at that time along with 75lb injector's.....I was also thinking of upgrading my stage 2 maf to a stage 3 did they finish it yet??? I have to keep my stock headlight's.

Jim, thank you for the kind words. You are one of my favorite customers, even though you don't have any of my products yet! LOL

As you already know, the Vitesse PiggyBack offers great playback capability, and has been improved with the recent version (time stamp, fast/slow display, FF, REW..) . Also, there is a way to import the logged data into Excel spreadsheet.
