Default Have you had this problem?

New problem, my car won't rev over 5,500 rpms in second, third, or fourth gear. Havent tried fifth. First gear it redlines but hesitates at 5,500. ANd in neutral it revs fine.
Also wont boost over 9 pounds. (Autometer)

Any thoughts?......

Thanks guys.

The DME is in fail-safe? I think fail safe is stops at 3k though.

Are you sure the Autometer is properly plugged? Do you have a boost controller? Sounds like an over-boost protection to me. You may have a boost leak where the vac line connects to the back of the meter.

No boost controller, and the autometer was working fine, now reads 9 lbs at full boost.

How bad is the hesitation? Does it feel like the fuel is cutting out? And you can rev in neutral past 5,500? Does sound like a vacuum leak. Stock or chipped?

Vacuum leak, BIG one.

Either that or a failed AFM.

Dal.
