I hear ya brother.

Danno you described my technique to a T. I only add a little more gas to get it off idle before I start engaging the clutch.... and step 5. Give it even more gas!

Ahmet and I may be having different problems. Mine runs maybe a little crisper than my APE chips when off boost, it's only when coming on boost that I have the problem of the "stairstep" effect. It hits, then a slight pause, hits, slight pause, etc., 3 or 4 times as the rpms climb, then smooths out. This was not present with the APE chips, but it does pull much harder. Autometer boost gauge shows 16 psi max. I've heard of 2 or 3 other people on the board that experienced the same thing.

I just dynoed a K27/8@20psi a couple weeks ago and got 362rwhp, so I guess there's the next generation chip for K27s already.... heh, heh..

Danno,

I knew you and Shane would break the K27 record. When will you put up the dyno sheet? All I can say about that car is the power just keeps on going until the dyno session stops at 6500 rpm and the torque peaks at 3300 rpm and doesnt let up. Its the nicest curve I have seen for a 951 and this is the fastest 951 I have ever been in and it has no noticable lag at all it is instant.
Its amazing what a good cam, head and tuning can do. Hats off to Dan and Shane.
