Default strut mount question

I have some noticable play in my right front suspension assembly. It apears that most of it is between the shock rod and the metal sleve in the mount. I am sure that the bolt on top is tight and the struts are new. (1) is this comon, and (2) i was under the impression that my '86 turbo (manufactured 8/85) has the early (cheap) mounts. But looking around for the mounts pelican lists the turbo as having the same as 87+ so I'm not sure anymore. Thanks

Alot of side to side play isn't normal there. That mount is a bearing mounted in rubber. The '86 turbos has the early style mounts. Later style are very expensive! If you're are original, bearing could be bad, rubber dried out and giving play, etc. Call Paragon, he has them.
