Luke, did you paint your wheel or was it like that? I am thinking of powdercoating them white but have coloured (siler) centre caps, what did you do?

 

Here in San Jose, we have 0ne (1) station that sell 100 octane fuel at the pump for $4.27 a gallon. I believe this is the only one in the Bay Area. Luckily I live near it. There are several speed shops that carry them in 5 Gl cans. But expensive. It's like $5.25 per gl plus $12.00 core for the can.

 

Cas, where is the 100 octane in San Jose? What kind is it?

There's a Unocal 76 station in Sj. Best to call before you go. They run out quite a bit. Also one more in in San Ramon. Here's the address and phone number.

Good old Iowa, ****ty old 91 I guess, but I have heard of places in des moines to buy race gas. As of now, I know nothing of what it is or how expensive it is. 91 here was 1.68 I think?

 

In Latvia we have 98RON thats 94AKI.

 

Mike- there are a few gas stations in ames that sell 92, the amoco by my house in coralville has 93.

 

Maybe I goofed then... I was thinking almost always open had 91. Now that i think if it, they do have 93. Have you ever seen anything higher in Des Moines or any other big cities?

 

We have mostly 91 octane, but the stations that carry ethanol enhanced gas have 92. That is in Alberta and this morning it was -32 C with a wind chill of -47 C. I have never been certain that even at 92 octane that the ethanol enhanced gas is any better. However some tanks of 91 seem to be more prone to knock than others.

 

does anyone know of greater then 91 octane in the Los Angeles area? preferably to the north a little if there was a choice. Anyone?
