"Why two ECU's and whats the difference between KLR & DME?"
Because some bean-counter at either or both Porsche and Bosch decided to add a piggyback boost/timing controller on top of the existing DME computer when they went ot the Turbo model, rather than make a new ECU that incoporates all the features in one box! The KLR also drives the boost-gauge on the dash.
You can get the location of the DME/KLR boxes with pictures on my 951 RacerX website under the 'Chips Installation' section.

Hey Stone I noticed you are running Autothority chips.......if you are going to stick with just a chip set-up I highly recommend switching to Guru chips.
The APE chips are known to run lean up top and can contribute to a blown headgasket, there are lots of threads discussing chips, just use the search function and you will find a wealth of info. I currently run the Guru set-up and regularly smoke my buddy with his APE chips.Just my 0.02 cents
