In addition to MAGK's pretty thorough description, there are some other changes/additions for MY87:
-driver/passenger airbags standard on Turbo (and later S2) only, in US market only (not Canada), and not deletable. They were optional on all other 944 cars in all other markets.
-new options available: ten speaker stereo and split rear seat back

Goals are a basically a car for fun on the weekends, maybe a track day if I can get it into good enough shape. Slight mods. Maybe boost the power a bit and upgraded suspension. Id like it to be a more balanced driver than for overall speed. I plan on wrenching on it in the winters while stored in the garage. It wont see snow thatst for sure!
