Default reducing weight

Hey guys,

Just curious as to where I can start to reduce the weight of my 951 by about 250-300 lbs?

I know, I was selling my car, but I decided not to. I just can't get rid of it. It just feels.... wrong.

Well, I was curious as to what can be removed. It doesn't seem like too much weight to remove. I pretty sure some lightweight wheels, lightweight exhaust, and removal of rear seats should get me over 100 lbs right there. Anything else I could do?

Thanks.

It's just like shopping at Walmart....every thing is just 25 or 50 cents off, but when you look at the receipt, you realize you've saved 80 bucks...

As far as the interior:
all carpet
upper and lower rear seat
spare tire and accessories
seal the sunroof and remove the motor
remove radio, a/c conrtols
remove both seats and put in one lightweight racing seat of choice
remove glovebox
remove center console "storage area" and ashtray"

exterior:
replace all glass with lightweight racing windshields
carbon, carbon, carbon fiber
lightweight wheels (FM10's anyone?)
A/C delete
MAF (yes it saves weight...I suppose it adds a little power too)
Lightweight exhaust (straightpipe)

Weight reduction really is the best thing you can do to your car. It makes it go faster, stop faster, handle better, and puts overall less stress on everything.

Oh yeah...and loose weight :-)

I was just figuring that if I buy some parts from GT racing, like the fiberglass hood, rear bumper, front and rear fenders, sunroof, along with removing rear seats, lightwight exhaust, and light wheels, I can lose around 235 lbs. I still want this to be a street car, so, I'm not getting rid of the interior carpets, mats or radio. Sounds like I have a project...lol.

BTW, I weigh 150, so no problems there.... :-)
