Default Back in the saddle

After an extended absence (a variety of health, work and motivation reasons), yesterday my friends Ben, CJ and I finished up the Sherman, fired the car up and put it back on the road, What a blast, I am still grinning! I had forgotten how hard a Vitesse equipped car will pull under boost.

We still have a myriad of small details to sort through but overall I was shocked at how well the car drove after sitting for a bit. I’ve also missed being a part of this forum and am pleased to see a number of the old timers are still here.

I have a pile of extra parts sitting around, if anyone is interested in a SFR header and crossover pipe, shoot me a pm or I’ll post it up for sale before long.

Fun times!

Nice Scott! Glad to hear she's up and running again and see you posting here! Did you remove the SFR header/x-over for some reason or is it just an extra? I have a SFR stage 2 header/xover set ready to go on my car so not in the market, just curious.

I don't care to drag anyone through the mud here but I was displeased with the build quality and fitment of the SFR headers when I receive them from Tim. I wound up buying a set from Front Range Fab and while those also had some initial fitment issues, they were willing to work through the issues and I am pleased with that set of headers and that's what wound up staying on my car. The SFR headers are, for all practical purposes, brand new and were the SS with coating, it was the most expensive set Tim offered, at least at the time.

Thanks guys! Its a bit like having a new car all over again. I am thinking it might be time for a MoMonitor set up so that I can really see what is going on and get a proper tune on it but in the meantime, I am having fun just rumbling around town and reacquainting myself with the glory of driving a boosted Porsche!
