Should I get a boost gauge first?

The stock gauge actually doesn't read to 21psi, and it would be darn hard to tell exactly even if it did without numbers on it. The max boost the stock gauge can show is 1 bar or about 15psi of positive manifold pressure. Anything below 1 bar is showing vacuum, ie no forced induction at work.

electrical gauges?
So are the electrical ones easier to install? Also, has anyone used the 2 gauge a-pillar from 9xauto.com? Said it will match the factory black interior.

I don't know if they're the same, but I think most people have gotten their pillars from gaugepods.com. Matches the interior perfectly, and fits great. I have one on mine.

My pod from gaugepods does not fit that well and took FOREVER to show up, like on the order of 6 weeks. It was cheap though.

forgot to add
I also had a few more questions. I have heard the a/f is accurate to some degree, not being very good, but not a light show like on hondas? I would think about a WB unit, but dont quite have those funds as of yet. Again, still wondering if electrical and mechanical are easier/harder to install?

One would think you would wish to go with a solid, accurate mechanical gauge as that takes much of the question as to whether or not the factory signal is correct out of the picture. Installation of a mechanical gauge is fairly trivial aside, you'll have no problem with either I'm sure

Rhesus - I bought mine months ago. The fit problem is where it meets the pillar. It is not awful, I can probably apply light heat and get it where it needs to be, but it pissed me off since it took so long.
I also paid the $8 and it does match the stock look pretty darn well.
