Weird noise when I brake hard..
I have an 89 turbo and when I brake hard at say 30mph the car brakes slowly and I hear a thumpng noise under my car. When I brake slowly they just squeek a little but dont make the thumping noise I'm getting when I brake hard. The pads are broken into (about 6 months old) and the rotors look fine. Any ideas about whats up?

Is the thumping coming from the rear or front of the car?
It could be a warped rear rotor if the sound is coming from the back of the car. You would feel a warped front rotor through the steering wheel.
