Help, rear wing uneven coloration

Default Help, rear wing uneven coloration

RL folks, see picture of my 1989 951 rear wing with uneven/discoloration, after washing car as per usual the last several years and applying Mothers Back to Black with a microapplicator sponge the wing turned up with uneven grey and black areas, particular the center area a deep black compared to rest of wing. any suggestions on how to remedy the situation, thanks

You might try spraying the spoiler with this:

It covers well and bonds to the PVC chemically, not like a paint. Try it on a PVC sample piece first. Works very well.

I vaguely remember my spoiler having the same “problem”. It might have come that way from the factory.

thanks guys, a 1989 car, the wing did not look like this until a week ago after 2 + years of my ownership. is the suggestion that it came that way from the factory and did not reveal itself until 29 years later?

Could have been in the molding process from the factory. Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. They are amaising! If it's still there after, it's most likely in the mold.

Mine has the exact same blemish in the same spot. I think it developed from the sun revealing the uneven mold underneath.

None of mine have that (even the one that's kind of 'baked')
