Hi Gang, I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.
I have a question...I'm running some custom chips that require a 3 bar FPR.
I had a spare 2.5 bar and read that you can squeeze it in a vice and increase spring tension.
Well I did this a little at a time until I had 43.5 psi at idle with the vac line
dissconnected and 35 psi at idle with vac line connected. The car runs fine.
Idles fine and shows 3 green bars on the AFM at 15 psi boost.
Is this OK or should I get a factory 3bar?
Thanks

This is a common mod for BOV's and FPR's in the land of Honda's and DSM's. Nothing wrong with it (assuming you ended up with the right fuel pressure) other than it's not reversible and you risk fuel leaks at the crimps on the regulator from the stresses of crushing it.
