Is clark's website hosted on a personal server? Is the rennlist community interested in organizing an effort to migrate his website for future use? I would recommend a separate thread to keep this one focused on clark's memory.
Wow - I use that site all the time. Very appreciative for all his work on developing it. I echo the sentiments above about preserving it.

Does someone know his family, and have any interest in starting a go fund me for his funeral expenses. For all I know the guy was loaded, but I would still make a donation, for all the times i've used that website.

Wow... I hadn't been in this forum for a spell and I come back to see this? To say I'm massively bummed is an understatement, Clark was a great guy whom I talked with and met back in my early days of Porsche ownership (I think I first met him in '96 or '97). Although I have drifted away from active participation in the 944/turbo forums over the years, I still have my '87 951 and a huge appreciation for these cars, and Clark was one of the guys that really helped me along back then along with Don Istook.

I'll gladly pitch in to help preserve Clarks Garage as a tribute and legacy to a great guy and great friend.

RIP Clark, and Godspeed! Way too young.

Default Clark

I read through this thread this evening and paused to think about the unselfish contribution that Clark had to the global 944 community. Truly an incredible service provided to enthusiasts from all walks of life. A rare legacy of positive effects of sharing; even if its all centered around our daily transportation and recreation.

Literally, minutes later, my neighbor walks into my home with a very sullen expression. I joked with him a bit. "who died?" His wife cut me off with a quick, "actually, one of his colleagues at work died this week...diving accident". I was floored.

What was his name? He answered, "Clark". "His name was Clark Fletcher".

My fellow Rennlisters, I spent most of this evening hearing about Clark and his unassuming contributions to his work colleagues and his family. Apparently, his contributions go far beyond what he has given to our community. He was truly a special person. I regret that I was so close to actually meeting him and did not.

R.I.P.

This is not the way I imagined finally putting a 'face' to the person behind that awesome website. Rest in Peace

Rest In Peace Clark. He will always be with us. He shared great knowledge to us about our cars and automotive wasn't even his field of expertise. Could have fooled me. That was just him "tinkering" apparently. Unbelievably intelligent man. I wish his family the best, even thou they may feel they just lost the best. Better to look at it like they got to enjoy the best for the time given. Although he will be missed in this world greatly.

Wow!! So sad.

Clark's Garage is what's gotten me through 20 years of ownership. He even helped me personally via e-mail way back when I was trying to troubleshoot a problem. Obviously one of the most giving and knowledgeable people I will ever encounter..

I'll certainly donate to a fund to help with his expenses. Please post here once it's created.

He should be getting a free military burial I would think via Navy, perks of donating years of life to the military. Even a General discharge gives Vetrains a free burials.
