I located the engine number stamped near the number four cylinder, but when I called Pelican for a part that had a mid-year running change, they said there must be another number somewhere else. Does anyone else know the locations of other numbers stamped on the block/head?

Yup, if I recall there is one by the oil filler/evap canister. Hard as hell to see it with the motor in the car.
