A b16a J-Spec has 190 hp stock.
Sorry, man, but this is not true. The JDM B16a had 160hp, 111tq. Are you thinking of the B18C5 (ITR Motor)? It had 195hp. There is also a B16B that came in the Jap spec Civic Type R's (98-01) that made 185hp. But I highly doubt he has that engine. Its major $$$.

[i]Judging by the mods you have listed that he has, I would estimate 145whp.(without boost)

You will smoke him. Without the MAP, without the k27, with just the Guru Chips, you will still smoke him. [/B]
145whp thats all ?? I see him racing Type R that have 190HP and Boxters and he blows by them. Don't get it? He also has headers

A type R has 195hp. So assuming a 15% drivetrain loss thats 165whp. A Type R weighs 2650 lbs. 92-95 hatches weigh between 2000 and 2100 lbs.

Power to Weight, my friend

If you have a MAF/K27-6/chips/injectors, and test pipe, you could easily put down 340RWHP.

I wouldn't worry about getting beat. You should take him since supercharged ones are normally not very fast. It is probably a 14 flat in the 1/4 at the best. A friend had one and the best it ran was a 14.3 but I don't remember the boost.
but speaking of turbos, his brother has a 93ish honda hatchback that he just got done building and had it tuned at the dyno. It pulled 305whp with 17ibs of boost. I rode in it last week and talk about a fast honda! Its so fast, its actually scary because it doesn't have any traction untill like 80mph. He said if it got awesome traction, it should be in the 11's.

I had a 1.6 litter 106 crank HP 2300 pound '96 civic lx sedan, auto. (first car, given to me by my grandfather, and a good teen car at that) that thing would chirp the front tires when i floored it at a start, with 106HP crank. I dont see how he will ever lock those tires up...

I think 320 rwhp is too high a figure.
With plenty of fuel and free flow exhaust, sure.

but I suggest you visit a dyno before you throw out numbers.

I was dissapointed by my first few runs.
fuel CAN be a pain in the ***.
I think my 55 lb injectors are maxed out!

anywho with the k27 you will win, end.

Um, my supercharged GSR (B18C1) put down 251 Hp at the wheels at 10psi (that's 110 over the stock 140 Hp at the wheels) and though it's smaller, the B16s have a better breathing head. With a powerband from 2500-8500 rpm, I run down Camaro SSs and are pretty even with C5s so you might want take him seriously when he's got a 2300 pound car with short gearing. 250 Hp at the wheels in those will usually see high 12s on street tires, and don't forget that the Honda community is big on drag racing so don't underestimate what they can do. The information base on Hondas is very large and well connected so development happens quickly.

The Honda community is also big on talk.

A few here have said it already and I couldn't say it fast enough: a NA civic will not have 200 hp unless something really serious has been done to it.

At the threat of turning this into a ricer forum, I think i'm qualified to give my 0.02 judging by my sig. Standing start the civic will have a weight advantage, but once on the highway (where horsepower really counts) and I'm able to pull through in the higher gears NO civic has ever taken me in my ITR; ever. Although, I've probably haven't come across a blown version.

My modded 951 will eat my ITR for breakfast.

I was just recently driving next to a new Type R that was completes riced out. Big wing, decals, etc. We were on a nice big 6 lane highway with little traffic and I got on it a couple of times, but he wouldn't bite.

I have noticed in the past that when import cars get a look at the rear end of my car and notice the Porsche, turbo badges, they seem reluctant to give me a run. Maybe especially since others have posted in here that in other car forums, our cars are becoming more and more talked about and respected

... here you go.

http://www.hondata.com/dynocharts.html

I still think a K27 will eat one on a rolling start...... I just can't bear to watch someone launch a 951 from a stand still.......... auuuuggghh the pain of it all.
