Thinking of going back to vintage in a 914 so selling my '84 944 SP1/Spec. $8500. Includes 2 sets of dries and 1 set of wets. Has new head and current PCA log book. Located in Austin. Won workers choice at 2019 Motorsports Ranch (Cresson,TX) probably due to the dragon paint scheme.

Can send pics

Good Luck with the sale. I am looking at doing the same thing with selling my 944 racecars and getting a 914 racecar.

Just curious - why are you moving to a 914 from the 944?

I can race the 914 with vintage groups which provide more opportunities to race closer to home.

I'm pretty much contemplating the same move ... i've spent too much time and money to be somewhat competitive with my SP2 car and there are more vintage events in my area
than PCA which has one event in Canada ( Mosport ) of which there were only 23 total cars registered for the Can Am Challenge Club Race in July.I'm guessing that will be the end of the Canadian venue !
There are a few well prepared 914's in the vintage groups and the camaraderie is on another level ...

Cheers
Phil

How old do the cars need to be before they are considered vintage? The 944's are from 32-40 years old now

In Texas it's based on the '72 SCCA CGR. So all 914's, only long hood 911's, etc

Totally miss the camaraderie with the vintage folks.

Dropping price to $7500 obo. Losing my storage spot at the race shop so this needs to move.
