Here are some of the custom designed laser-cut metal, powder-coated trophies to be given out to the winners of each race (2 sprints and enduro) at the Republic of Texas 944 Shootout at MSR Cresson, TX next weekend.

It was truly a great race weekend.
Largest group of SP1 racers I have ever seen.
The paddock and the party in the paddock were what you always hope for.
Thanks to everyone who made it out to MSR and made it a great event.
CONGRATS to the 944 Shootout Champion Mitch Butaud and the podium winners, Mitch Butaud, Phil Hanson and Steve Watkins (in various order depending on the race).
Everyone walked away with a great prize. Congrats to Jose Ayala as the lucky winner of the set of TOYO tires.
Jose should get the Iron Man award for losing a front left wheel/hub/spindle etc, during a race, and then getting it fixed for the next race in less than one hour. Amazing!
The weather was absolutely PERFECT.

Next Year's Republic of Texas 944 Shootout will be at the newly renovated, re-built, and re-configured Eagles Canyon Raceway.

Dammit, I was going to road trip out there from Baton Rouge just to see the racing, first time at a track without a tow/race car in years but it totally slipped my mind's calendar.

Ahhh well, where are the results and videos...?
