Wheel fitment on 86' 944? Same as 944S?
Hi,
I just joined this forum after buying a one owner 1986 Porsche 944! Love it.
I have a question. Looking at buying a set of 18" cup wheels that show ET52 front and ET47 rears, and the seller says they will fit the 944S but not mine.
Is there a way to make them fit?
What is the difference between the 944S and standard 944 as far as wheel fitment?
Thanks in advance.
Stephane

Your 86 944 has the early offset wheels. The front wheels has an offset of ET23 and the back ET11. The higher wheel offset came in the 87 model year up. You can use the higher offset wheels but you have to use either wheel spacers or adapters.
Check out the link below for wheel fitment.

Thank you so much Larry!
Hopefully I can find bolt-on adapters and make them fit. I really appreciate that info,
Cheers,
