Default 944S2 oil leaking on exaust - not cam tower?

Hi everybody,

I have the following issue with my S2 I just bought.
I was getting burning oil smell in the cabin at traffic lights.
Investigation under the running car showed multiple areas being covered in oil and after watching it for a while the source seems to be the oil filter housing.

So I ordered the seal and went through replacing it over the last weekend.

Good news are, that no more oil is dripping off the housing and the seal seems to be good now.

Bad news are, that after running the car for about 3-4 minutes in idle after the replacement, the exhaust area started to smoke extreml

More investigation showed that it wasn't the oil burn off after repair but new oil dripping very steadily ( way pre then before) onto the exhaust further back.
It all looks like it comes straight from the head gasket after about a couple minutes of running the engine.

Now, I did some research online and usually they say it's the came tower gasket, but I can't see any leeks further up then the head gasket.
Am I missing something or is this indeed a blow head gasket now all that sudden?

My S2 has the same issue, I also believe it is the head gasket. Haven't got around to doing it yet, it's been about the same for the last 80,000km.

Cheers,
Mike
