Default Difference between 944 & 944s2 torque tubes

Hello 2 all!

I have a problem on my '89 944s2 - the front end of torque tube - transaxle - is very bad and has broken shaft slots. So I need to change the whole torque tube.

Can I use 944 torque tube for my car, or i should only use torque tube for 944s2 ? in my reference, they have different partnumbers (944.421.01202 & 944.421.01215).

Help please!

The S2 has a slot at the front with a v shaped stiffener welded at the ends can't remember the reason , however the Turbo and late NA tube will work in its place.
