Unknown wires/part Do you know
Does anyone know what this part is/does? When I took of my air filter casing to get to my rack and pinion I saw that the wire that is being pointed to with red ink was unpluged.
I plugged it back in and I hope it improves something on my car. But what can I expect?
Thanks a mill,
David

Not sure what the part is that you are asking about but I did notice that it apears that in your pictures that your break master cylender is leaking. By the looks of it very badly as well. you may want to check that out. Comming to a stop at a busy intersection is a priority in my life as I would asume it is in yours. Good luck.

Hmm... never noticed that. But I will make sure. I think that is just old stuff.
Once I get my power steering rack back on I'm going to degrease the whole compartment. Then I will know for sure about oil leaks, etc. etc.

Three Wheelin'
That is the supplemental air valve. It opens when the A/C is turned on. The additional air flow helps compensate for the mechanical load of the A/C compressor.
You see this on the early cars without idle stabilzers.
