Can someone with an 8 valve 944 please check for me...

Look under the hood at the throttle body and the
two thin vacuum lines that come out of it. One
of the lines goes to the injector assembly and
the other goes to the little brass thermal valve
at the back of the head. My question is; which
of them should connect to which vacuum output on
the throttle body? One of the outlets sticks
out at 90 degrees and the other leans back at
about 45. Which line do I connect to which outlet?

Help...

Dave.

Hey dave,

i'm not sure what year you have, or if it matters, i have an 84 8v NA...the vac line futhest back on the throttle body splits a y and goes to A. another y to the fuel regulators, and B. the small valve by the brake booster.

the one further up on the throttle body goes back by the head, across the firewall, and over to the big valve by the brake booster.

happy fixin!

The car is a 1986 944Lux.

Thanks for the information. When you write "furthest back" do you mean towards
the back of the car or 'upstream' in the
airflow?
