Post Windshield help

Can a late model flush windshield be adapted to mount to a pre 85.5 944NA? Since I need to replace the windshield, I'd like to have smoother air flow over the car, rather than capture the air around the windshield edge.

I had my hood fly up last year in my '83, which inadvertently busted my windshield. I had it done at a body shop who contracted glass work to a local franchise of Glass Doctor. When I got it back, much to my amazement, they had fitted a flush windshield. I never asked for this nor did I complain. The seal around the glass IS NOT a Porsche part, I'm sure. It does however beat the archaic framed recessed glass.

Hope this helps.
