Maintenance Schedule for 944S2
I'm looking for the official Porsche schedule for this vehicle. I'll take either hard copy or electronic. If you have a hard copy and would like a high quality electronic version I have the equipment to do this.

I picked up an owners manual for my 89S2 from the dealer. I got the workshop manuals (5 or 6 volume) from an ad, and it had the 16valve book as well. The 16v book addresses the 88S, but seems to work for the S2 as well.
If you can find out what the recommended interval for the cam chain tensioner (not t-belt)is I'd appreciate it.
Good luck

Tom,
Porsche has never really addressed the cam chain tensioner issue. There seems to be a wide range of opinions on the mileage at which to change this. 30k, 60k, 90k? My S2 has 93.5k on it. I am going to have this done in the spring. Check out All-Zim's. They had the tensioner listed for $250, but I can't find it on their site any more. They also have a replacement ramp for $25 that just replace the plastic guide. But if you are going in there you should probably change the whole thing. Here the link to 944S2 Central's procedure http://boerger.golden-tech.com/image...placement.htm.
